The Influence of Sample Preparation and Replicate Analyses on HeLa Cell Phosphoproteome Coverage. Bryan M. Ham, F Yang, H Jayachandran, N Jaitly, ME Monroe, MA Gritsenko, EA Livesay, R Zhao, SO Purvine, D Orton, J Adkins, DG Camp II, S Rossie, and RD Smith. Submitted to the Journal of Proteome Research in January 2008. The analyzed data can be viewed here.

Data source

This data set was created from the merged MS/MS spectra used in this paper. The original data was obtained from the PNNL web site. Glutamic acid and asparatic acid residues have been methylated to reduce adventitious binding on a metal column.

Comments

The data is of good quality. It consists almost entirely of phosphopeptides. It also contains a significant number of peptide assignments that have not been previously observed. The observed proteins are predominantly nuclear and cytoplasmic.
